STRATEGIC PREPARATION AND
PRE-PRODUCTION
As a bilingual government marketing agency in Japan, we began with an in-depth strategic planning phase to ensure a compelling narrative and seamless video production for JETRO.
This process involved extracting key thematic elements to structure the video around: “Introduction,” “What is WSET,” and core messages such as “Water,” “Environment,” “Craftsmanship,” “History,” “Product Experience,” “Uniqueness,” and “Food Pairing.”
Our team crafted impactful interview questions to prompt spontaneous and insightful responses, created a comprehensive storyboard, and coordinated all logistical details, from consent forms to scheduling and resource allocation, to bring the vision to life.
ON-SITE FILMING IN YAMANASHI
Our on-ground execution phase involved a two-day shoot in Yamanashi, meticulously managed by our creative team. The shooting crew—comprising a Creative Director, Camera Operator, Sound Operator, Art Director, and Project Manager—captured authentic moments of WSET educators experiencing Yamanashi sake firsthand.
The itinerary was thoughtfully structured to maximize content, featuring site visits to renowned sake breweries, guided tastings, and cultural experiences, all framed to highlight the natural beauty of the Yamanashi region and the rich craftsmanship of its sake. This phase also included shooting B-rolls to enrich the final video narrative, ensuring an immersive and authentic portrayal of the region and the product.
IN-HOUSE POST-PRODUCTION
In the final post-production phase, we selected the best footage, synced audio, and meticulously edited each segment to create a visually and emotionally engaging story.
As a specialized government marketing agency in Japan, we focused on every detail—enhancing color tones, adding authentic Yamanashi background sounds, and including multilingual subtitles to make the content accessible to a global audience. To optimize reach across various digital platforms, we delivered both short and long versions of the video, tailored for diverse usage in online and offline channels.
IMPACT AND RESULTS
The final product captured the authentic endorsement of Yamanashi sake by WSET experts, building trust and establishing credibility for the brand. The video was well-received, creating a memorable viewing experience that elevated the brand’s appeal to both Japanese and international audiences.
This project underscored our expertise as a government marketing agency in Japan, showcasing our ability to blend strategic storytelling with high-quality production to achieve outstanding results for our clients.
